In Ile de France, in 1983, Cris was a “self-initiate” into the world of sculpture, inspired by Egyptian sculpture and the work and life of sculptor and graphic artist, Camille Claudel.
Pereby’s expressive, entrancing, and startlingly beautiful sculptures were soon widely honored in French salons, and then over the years were exhibited to adoring crowds in Belgium, Germany, and the USA, amongst other countries.
In 2006, Cris settled in the South of France and created, in the city of Arles, the artistic association of which she is currently President: “L’Atelier Gaston Luppé”, a renown organization that regularly discovers artists of all styles, expressions, and schools through exhibitions, workshops, courses, and conferences.
